The Truth Comes Out
Biden officials’ testimony confirms that he was not telling the truth about the Afghan pullout.
Today during the hearings of Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Generals Milley and McKenzie, the truth finally came out. Senator Tom Cotton took his time during the hearing to question the members on whether or not a plan had been fully agreed on by the Chiefs of Staff. In his line of questioning Cotton asked whether or not General Mark Milley had said to keep a steady force of 2,500-3,500 troops in the region in order to prevent the Taliban from seizing power but also to negotiate a resolution for an exit. Milley had also previously stated that he was asked to share his assessment with the chiefs of staff and the president himself. When asked if he told the president about this idea Milley replied “I don’t discuss what my conversations are with the sitting president” he then proceeded to say that he “is always candid” which by that I’m assuming he did indeed tell the president about his assessment of the pullout.
Cotton then turned to General Kenneth McKenzie and asked him the same question. McKenzie had then confirmed that he shared the same view as Milley but that he also could not share information about conversations with the president, but when asked if General Scott Miller had also shared the same view on their plan McKenzie stated “you’d had to ask him but his opinion was well heard”
The final nail in the coffin came when Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was being questioned. When the question came Austin confirmed that the chiefs of staff had not been asked about their views until August 25. Just a reminder August 15 is when Kabul had fallen to the Taliban, and US intelligence had already known about there being many US citizens and Afghan helpers trapped in the city by that point.
What does this tell us, well it tells us that..
President Biden did not decide to ask for his chiefs of staff's views until 10 days after the capital had fallen.
President Biden had no plan whatsoever to evacuate the country safely and effectively.
There was most likely no “unanimous consent” between him and his military advisors
And finally that president Biden has lied to the American people and knew about the consequences of leaving in such a reckless way.
Senator Hawley along with other GOP senators during the proceedings called for the resignations of both Generals McKenzie and Milley but also that of Secretary Lloyd Austin’s. It’s very rarely where I agree with Senator Hawley but this would be one of those times as it’s quite blindingly obvious that these men are entirely unable to do their jobs properly and have not a single ounce of integrity, to stand up for their convictions (if they have any at all) and tell the president what is right and what it’s wrong.
Now obviously in the next few weeks and months more information will come out about the Biden Administrations incompetence, but frankly we shouldn’t have to wait that long to decide whether or not he’s fit to govern when there is already so much evidence to prove he is unable to hold the office he does.
